Day 1: Some stats and some thanks.

Wow. I can’t find the words, but I’ll try my luck. I’m humbled.

Thanks for your support, everyone. Most of the responses have been highly positive, you’ve all caught me off-guard with those.

One of the good company/organization’s value I see is transparency. Therefore, I’ll make extra efforts to keep everyone following this blog appraised of the situation of Ostrich. I will make it a goal to be present on Twitter to personally reply to anyone addressing @ostrichapp directly and sometimes indirectly if I feel like it ;)

Stats for launch day:

  • Received over 2000 visits from various sources. Notably Hacker News, The Next Web and MacStories;
  • 394 users got to the /success page, therefore I’m assuming those have been converted and successfully signed in with Twitter. That’s a 19.7% conversion rate;
  • Ostrich made 35,000+ requests to the Twitter API (and the day is not over) through the very kind and helpful Apigee;
  • At the most busy hour (3 PM) there was an average of 180 active users.

I’ll post updates as frequently as I can about the roadmap, technical details and business details.
